First produced in 1917 as an attempt by Converse to enter the basketball shoe market, the Converse All Star Chuck Taylor became very popular when the famous American basketball player decided to adopt them as his favorite footwear. For this reason, after some modifications, in 1932 the shoe took its current name and the signature of Chuck Taylor himself was added. Later they became the shoes of rock and punk, everyone - Sex Pistols, Ramones, Nirvana, Guns N'Roses, ACDC - wore Converse. Today, after a long stay in the indie world, they have become a universal model, copied as much by street brands as by ready-to-wear designers.
